Interview with Lina Tetriani, Director Vocal Arts

Our latest video is with Lina Tetriani, Director Vocal Arts at MUSE Academy and Voice Chair at Brooklyn Music School.  Learn more about her and her passion for music here.

Lina first fell in love with opera listening to Verdi’s Otello as a child. Later at Juilliard, she was entranced by the voices of Billie Holiday and Nina Simone and their ability to transmit emotions and heartache in a powerful and direct way.

Lina enjoys sharing her passion for music with her students at MUSE, and believes that she is able to empower them to accomplish more both within and beyond music by teaching proper vocal technique, confidence, and presence. She focuses on why we sing, as well as how.

Lina’s students have gone on to be accepted by top-ranked conservatories and to perform on the stage, in opera, and in film. She believes that the BMS theater is a great asset to develop student’s performance skills and interact with their peers, parents, and the community.
