Lisa Vidas Consolacion

Lisa was born in Vancouver, British Columbia and raised on the other end of North America in Houston, Texas. She is a graduate of Houston’s GRAMMY-award-winning High School for the Performing and Visual Arts, she has a Bachelor of Arts in Music from the University of St. Thomas (also in Houston), and a Master of Arts in Vocal Performance: Music Theatre from New York University.
After receiving her Masters, Lisa worked as an actress. She has performed on stages all over the United States, Europe, Asia, and even on Broadway. Lisa has also worked as a vocal coach and background vocalist for various professional recording artists.
Lisa has spent the last eight years in education. First as a teacher, and now at MUSE, as Assitant Head of School. Lisa has taught piano and voice privately, as well as music and drama in the classroom to students of all ages. More recently, she has returned to NYU to pursue a Master of Arts in Music Education, along with New York State Teacher Certification for teaching Music to all grades. Having personally reaped the many benefits of a strong music and performing arts education, Lisa now has a great passion for teaching and instilling a deep appreciation and love for the arts in all students.
